I've Googled and haven't found anything I could use. I've also installed PCLOS on another laptop (Lenovo T510 in this case), removed the hard drive, put it into the Dell E6430 or E6440, and the touchpad works correctly. I've tried other Linux distros (Mint, MX-17 & others) and the touchpad works correctly. Touchpad still does not work correctly no matter what PCLOS KDE I try.
I've also installed these using a wireless mouse & keyboard. I've booted from several of my PCLOS recent KDE remasters and from the PCLOS KDE 2018.6 live CD image. The touchpad configuration in system settings changes nothing regarding clicking. The buttons above and below the touchpad work correctly. The cursor moves correctly when the finger is moved on the touchpad. Two finger click may do just about anything. Single finger click does not work at all.
